Morphy
is a Glasgow based producer who has been
building up a strong reputation over the
years playing at all major club events
around the country. Always busy in the
studio Morphy takes dub plate culture to new
heights by constantly bombarding the ravers
with new creations fresh off the press.
Morphy has been a resident with the highly
successful LiveVevil for the last four years
where his unique style of upfront breaks,
deep subs and frantic percussion is always
met with great approval from the crowd.
In
the last two years Morphy has smashed up the
club circuit extensively making his
rave-fuelled sets his distinguishable
trademark.
Morphy made his debut on Urban Takeover with
the heavy roller 'Cheb Mk2' which would
later be followed up by the old skool vibes
of 'Warehouse' and the belly dance flavours
of 'Trans Egypt Express' both on the same
label.
In 2004 Morphy unleashed the monstrous
'Bottoms Up' on Kent-based label Direct
Recordings that earned the support of DJs
such as Andy C, Grooverider, Shimon, Red One
and Mickey Finn amongst others.
There is plenty more in the production
pipeline, and being a man who never
compromises his style for current trends you
can expect some serious beats to be emerging
from the Morphy laboratories in the near
future.
